Balayage in Toronto, the lived-in way.
Hand-painted dimension that grows out softly and still looks like you, just better rested. One guest at a time, in a private studio at Church and Wellesley.

01 The service
Light, placed by hand
Balayage is colour painted freehand onto the hair, where the light would naturally fall. Because there is no hard line of foils at the root, it grows out softly. No stripe of regrowth announcing that you are overdue, just a gradual, graceful fade back toward your natural colour.
It is the service I recommend most to people who want to be lighter without living on a salon schedule: first-time colour clients, brunettes who want dimension without commitment, and anyone growing out old highlights into something calmer. My specialty is healthy, lived-in hair, and balayage is where that philosophy shows most.
Every appointment starts with a real consultation. If your hair history means your goal takes more than one session, I will tell you before we begin, and we will plan it in stages that keep your hair strong.
02 The appointment
Unhurried, start to finish
The conversation
Your hair history, your routine, and the photos you have been saving. We agree on a goal your hair can actually reach, beautifully.
Painted by hand
Lightener placed piece by piece around your face, your part, and your ends, shaped to how you actually wear your hair.
Tone & gloss
The shade is refined at the bowl until it sits exactly where it should, then finished with a gloss for shine and softness.
The plan
You leave knowing your maintenance rhythm: when a gloss refresh is worth it, when it is not, and how to care for it at home.
“Countless compliments, whether it is the cut, the colour, or the balayage. She builds real relationships with anyone who sits in her chair.”

03 Good questions
Before you book
How long does balayage last?
Longer than traditional highlights, because the grow-out is soft by design. Most clients stretch months between full appointments and keep the tone fresh with an occasional gloss. Your rhythm depends on your natural colour and how light you go, and we will map it out at your consultation.
Will it damage my hair?
Any lightening asks something of your hair, which is why my approach is health first. If your hair needs repair before it needs lightener, or your goal is safer in two sessions than one, I will say so plainly. Healthy hair holds colour better anyway.
What does it cost?
It depends on your hair's length, density, and history, and on how far we are taking it. Current pricing lives on the booking page, where I keep it up to date, and your price is confirmed at booking and at your consultation, before any work begins.
Is balayage right for dark hair?
Often, yes. On brunettes it reads as dimension rather than a colour change: caramel, honey, and copper tones placed where light would catch. The consultation is where we choose a shade family that flatters your skin and suits your maintenance appetite.
